Subsidy For Children
For those children who are on subsidy, a note is required for all days a child is absent as this reflects the amount paid by the government and the portion paid by the parent. It can be from a doctor if it is for illness, or from the parent if it is for a different reason.

The Child Care Subsidy Program
- The Daycare will not be responsible for subisidy.
- Parents are responsible for their subsidy, otherwise FULL FEE will need to be paid.
- The Child Care Subsidy Program helps low income families with their child care expenses. The subsidy rate varies according to net family income, family size, and the number of hours of child care that is needed. It may be full subsidy or partial, depending on the net family income.
- Currently, approximately 8,500 families receive full or partial subsidy for day care.
- Over the next two years, funding for the Child Care Subsidy program will increase from $32.5 million in 1997/98 to $43.6 million by 1999/2000 - an increase of $11.1 million.
